Perimeter is built by a small team that dislikes surveillance as much as you do. We collect the minimum we need to run the service, we don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't track you around the web. This page explains exactly what we hold and why, in plain language.
Perimeter is a product of Unlogged. For any privacy question or request, email ahsan@getunlogged.com and we'll respond directly.
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A domain name you enter | Every time you run the free checker | To run the security check you asked for. We may keep a record of checks to operate and improve the service. |
| Your email address | If you ask us to email a report, or when you subscribe to a paid plan | To send you the report you requested, service and account emails, and occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time. |
| Domains you add to monitoring | When you're a paid subscriber | To check them daily and alert you when something breaks. |
| Check results for your domains | Ongoing, for monitored domains | To detect changes, send alerts, and produce the dated reports paid plans provide. |
| A random access token | When your account is created | This token in your private dashboard link is your login — we never set a password, so we never store one. |
That's the whole list. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build behavioural profiles, and we do not use third-party analytics that follow you across other sites.
To run Perimeter we use a few trusted providers, who process data only on our behalf:
Each holds only what it needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
We keep account and monitoring data for as long as your account is active, plus a short period afterward for our records and to reinstate service if you return. If you ask us to delete your data, we will. Report-request emails from the free checker are kept so we can improve the product and contact you about it, until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Wherever you live, we aim to honour these rights — including the access, correction, deletion and objection rights that laws like the GDPR grant. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Perimeter doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. Your dashboard works through your private link rather than a login cookie, so there's no consent banner to click through — there's simply nothing following you.
We do keep aggregate, privacy-preserving visit counts so we can see how many people read a page — but we built it to hold as little as possible. There are no third-party analytics and no cross-site tracking. We never store your IP address; instead a page view is counted using a one-way hash that rotates every day, so it can't be tied back to you or used to follow you across days or sites. The result is a simple daily tally of visits per page, and nothing that identifies a person.
Perimeter is a tool for businesses and website operators and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their data.
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date. Material changes that affect you will also be communicated by email where we can.
