These terms cover your use of Perimeter. We've kept them short and readable on purpose. By using the free checker or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to what's below.
Perimeter runs external, read-only checks on websites — looking at the TLS certificate, HTTP response headers and public DNS records that anyone on the internet can already see — and, on paid plans, monitors them over time and alerts you to changes. It is a monitoring and reporting tool.
Perimeter is not a penetration test, a full security audit, or a guarantee that your site is secure. It checks a specific, external set of things well; it does not find every possible vulnerability, and a good grade is not a warranty that your site can't be compromised by something outside what we check. Use it as one layer of your security, not the whole of it.
You may only run checks against domains you own or are authorised to test. Because our checks are external, read-only, and no heavier than a normal browser visit, they're not an attack — but you are still responsible for having the right to check any domain you enter, and for using the service lawfully.
Paid accounts are accessed through a private link containing a secret token — that link is your login. Anyone who has it can see and manage your account, so keep it private, as you would a password. You can regenerate it from your dashboard at any time if you think it's been exposed, which immediately invalidates the old one. We're not liable for access gained by someone you shared the link with.
Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Freemius, who acts as merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing portal or dashboard; cancellation stops future charges and your paid features end at the close of the current billing period.
14-day refund. If Perimeter isn't right for you, email ahsan@getunlogged.com within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. No conditions and no explanation required — if you ask inside the window, you get it back. Refunds are issued by Freemius as merchant of record, so the money returns by the route it arrived. This applies to a first payment on a plan; renewals after that are covered by cancelling before the period ends, which you can do at any time.
Don't use Perimeter to break the law, to check domains you have no right to, to attempt to overload or interfere with our service, or to resell the service as your own without our written agreement. We may suspend or end access that abuses the service.
We work to keep Perimeter running reliably, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Checks depend on third parties (DNS resolvers, the target site itself, our providers) and on the public internet, so occasional gaps or delays can happen. Monitoring is a strong safety net, not an absolute guarantee that every change will be caught the instant it occurs.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Perimeter is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose or that results will be error-free or complete. Security is complex; we give you good signal, not certainty.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unlogged and Perimeter are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from a vulnerability we didn't detect, a change we didn't catch in time, or a lapse in the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update the service and these terms as Perimeter evolves. When we change these terms, we'll update the date above; significant changes affecting paid subscribers will also be communicated by email where we can. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any consumer rights you have that can't be waived under the law where you live.
